Alex Pritchard is the founder, director, sculptor and artist.

A renowned artist within the palaeontology and collectables industry, who operates under the brand Dinosaur Skeletons.

Every specimen is crafted by hand by Alex and is manufactured in the Dinosaur Skeletons studio located in Devon in the United Kingdom, not too far from the iconic Jurassic Coast.

Every single element is created in-house. From initial sculpt to the completed, museum-grade specimen.

Alex holds a First Class degree in Art, has formal training in traditional and digital sculpture, and has worked extensively within the palaeontology sector for over thirteen years.

This is supported by training in animal and Dinosaur anatomy, allowing him to approach the physical realisation of replica fossil material with a clear understanding of structure, function, and proportion. The result is reconstructions that are created with a sound and confident understanding, that are both visually convincing, accurate and aesthetically beautiful.

Tom Moncrieffe is a palaeontologist and museum professional with a strong focus on vertebrate anatomy and skeletal reconstruction.

He previously worked as Curator of the Wyoming Dinosaur Center, where he helped design and build a new Morrison Formation exhibit, centred on an almost complete Allosaurus skeleton.

He has extensive field excavation experience in the Morrison, Hell Creek, and White River formations in the USA, and trained academically in the UK, studying Zoology at Bangor University before completing a Master’s in Palaeontology under Professor Steve Brusatte, specialising in tyrannosaur skull morphology.

Having studied and handled tens of thousands of fossil specimens, he brings deep anatomical expertise and a zoologist’s eye to prehistoric reconstruction. As a consultant for Dinosaur Skeletons, he helps ensure that every skeleton is not only visually striking but anatomically accurate and grounded in real biology. Tom also works with Alex on large museum mounts, exhibitions and installs.
