We are proud to offer a comprehensive range of services, from, sculptural commissions, mould making, 3D scanning and additive manufacturing to the reconstruction of new species of prehistoric life. No project is too large or too complex. Our team is trained in both 3D and traditional sculpting techniques, ensuring high-quality results for every project.

If a specimen is not available in our catalogue, we encourage you to get in touch. We work closely with collectors and institutions to bring projects to life, offering free consultancy to discuss ideas and requirements. With extensive expertise in creating engaging and spectacular specimens, we provide solutions that captivate audiences in both private collections and public spaces.

Replicas

We have an ever-growing and extensive range of prehistoric replicas, from small claws and teeth to full Mesozoic marvels. All of our products and specimens are designed, sculpted, and created in-house, entirely from the ground up. Every stage is handled by our team, from initial prototyping through to manufacturing, delivery, and installation.

DISPLAY & ExhibitS

We offer and deliver complete museum exhibitions and specimen rentals, consulting closely with clients to formulate engaging and educational displays. Our services include bespoke specimen creation, access to an extensive and growing catalogue, and comprehensive support from initial consultation through to installation. We also offer presentations and talks for the public to support exhibitions.

Mounting

Dinosaur Skeletons creates bespoke mounts for our specimens and for clients, constructed from steel to ensure strength, stability, and long-term conservation and impactful display.

Moulding & Casting

The studio has the capacity and experience to create moulds and casts of specimens using precision mould-making techniques and durable casting materials. This approach preserves original fossil material while capturing fine surface details with a high degree of accuracy.

New species

We are exceptionally proud to have worked on several world-first 3D skeletal mounts. Achieving this level of reconstruction requires painstaking research, from analysing scientific publications and fossil evidence to refining interpretations through comparative anatomy. The result are mounts that balance science and art with exceptional craftsmanship.

Restoration

We consult with, and work alongside clients to complete incomplete specimens for display or scientific study, utilising specialist replication techniques to reconstruct missing anatomical elements. Pictured: Ichthyosaur tail replica.

Additive Manufacturing

We are experts in additive manufacturing and are proudly supported and sponsored by industry-leading 3D printing companies. We utilise the latest SLA printing technology, combined with proprietary techniques and deep technical expertise, to push the boundaries of what is possible in the 3D realm. We are proud to offer resin replicas and specimens that match, and in many cases, exceed the quality of traditional casts!

SCULPTING AND SCANNING

We are trained in both traditional and digital sculpting techniques and have over a decade of experience in the sculptural palaeontology industry. Our studio can create specimens entirely from the ground up or work directly from existing 3D scans.

We also have the in-house capability to capture scans ourselves using industry-leading equipment. With extensive experience working with 3D scan data for museums, institutions, private clients, we are able to repair, refine, texture, sculpt, and prepare scans and sculpts for manufacturing and mounting.
We also take on private sculptural commissions to formulate specimens, products and displays!
